Seattle FilmWorks, Inc., was a mail order photographic film processing company and was renamed PhotoWorks.com in 2000. PhotoWorks operated 35 retail outlets, however it concentrated upon its mail order and internet business. PhotoWorks.com offered the options of digitizing images at the time of processing and customers could view personal photographs, send them by e-mail and add them to websites. Products included custom photo greeting cards & photo gifts along with photo books made from digital images. PhotoWorks discontinued all film processing in 2010 after it was purchased by American Greetings. PhotoWorks ceased operations in all forms in early 2011 and sold its customer list to Shutterfly.
